For the frequent flying freediver, travelling with long fins can be cumbersome, and regular snorkelling short fins often fail to provide the familiar kick and propulsion we crave - so Alexey, frequent traveller himself, sought to make his life easier. 

He designed the C1 Shorties to mimic the feel of our long fins, keeping the snug, custom footpockets for maximum power transfer from limb to blade. Widening the carbon blades compensates for loss in length, while keeping the feeling of thrust and power as close to our long blades as possible.

Production times take approximately 6 to 8 weeks, depending on the volume of orders. 

Desired Fit Guide

The desired fit determines the tightness of the foot pockets. 3 options are available:

Comfort: Ideal for recreational dives and long training sessions. If you intend to put them on for long periods of time, choose this option. Comfortable for about 45-60 min. 

Normal: A medium tightness, ideal for focused training sessions and competitions. Comfortable for about 20-30 min. 

Sport: The tightest fit available, maximising power transfer, specially for competition dives. Comfortable for about 10-15 min.

What is the estimated delivery cost?
The estimated delivery cost depend on the item(s) you order (size and weight) and your shipping location. You can find out the exact shipping cost by placing your favorite item(s) in your cart and creating an account in our shop.

What is the estimated delivery time?
The estimated delivery time for standard shipping usually falls within 7-14 days from dispatch depending on your shipping location. We will send you an email once your order has been processed and handed over to the Mail Service EMS. There may be delays in your local customs on arrival, so please check your tracking number regularly.

When will my order ship?
Shipping times begin when your item(s) have left our distribution centre in Moscow, Russia. For our core items that are ready for you at our distribution centre (e.g. lanyard, noseclip, buoy, fin bags, standard sized fins), please allow for 2-3 days working days for processing before your order is shipped. For our custom made items that are produced to fit you perfectly, production will take 4-8 weeks before your order is shipped. If you would love to order a custom item but need it really urgently, you can ask for a priority production for an extra fee.

Do I have to pay taxes for my purchase?
Please note that import duties and taxes may be applied by your local authority. It is a legal requirement that we declare the full transaction value of the contents of all packages. Local import duties and taxes are levied by the carrier on behalf of the local customs authority. Molchanovs are not liable for any local import duties or taxes.

Returns policy

Can I return my item(s)?
Not quite right? Breathe easy, we have a 30 days return policy. If you are not 100% satisfied with your item(s), return it within 30 days of receiving your order in salable condition for a refund or exchange. Please return your item(s) in the original packaging.

What if the packaging of my item is damaged?
Please check your package upon receiving. If you detect any damage that may have been caused during transportation, open the package in the presence of the postal employee. In the event of damage to the product, the postal worker is obliged to draw up a statement and sign it. For more information regarding further action, immediately contact us at

Are all items refundable?
Gift cards, sale items and custom-made wetsuits are non-refundable. Custom-made fins (monofin and bifins) are partially refundable depending on the degree of customization. There are certain situations where only partial refunds or no refunds can be granted for all other items including core items. This is the case if an item is not in its original condition, damaged or missing parts upon return or returned more than 30 days after delivery.

Are shipping costs refundable?
Please note that we can not refund the shipping costs for your purchase or your return. If the refund is due to a faulty item, shipping and returning costs are on us.

When do I get my refund?
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, your refund will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 5 business days. If you haven't received your refund within 5 business days of our notification, please contact your bank. If your bank can't find this transaction, please contact us at

What if an item is faulty?
If you think your product has suffered a manufacturing fault, you have received a wrong item or an item is missing, please contact us at within 7 days of receiving your order. Items that are damaged due to excessive or long-term usage are not considered faulty.

How do I post the return back to you?
Please take your item(s) to your local post office at your own cost. We request that you acquire a proof of postage receipt and retain this until you receive an email confirmation that we have received your return and are processing it. Without a return tracking number we may not be able to honour your return if it is lost in transit. We do not refund postage costs.
